Mercy is an expression of pity. It is kind consideration towards others that relieves them from their demise.
Matthew 5:7 "Happy are the merciful, since they will be shown mercy."
The very wise example of being "merciful" toward a person in need without discrimination is written in the Bible. It is about Jesus' illustration of the good Samaritan.
In what ways could we be merciful as well? And how? What can we gain from being merciful?
The Bible text mentioned above is one of the most reason we have to be merciful. To bring upon us mercy as well. Aside from being more than "helpful", being merciful could also result to happiness. Hence to do so, we need to engage positive deeds of kindness towards others especially those who are in need.
Help an elderly cross the street.
Give beggar a cup of coffee or a bread.
Let a senior, pregnant or a lady take your seat.
Open a door to a stranger.
May you be blessed with mercy along your way.
